So you want to enter the Swansea Bay 5K series...

Three races are held each summer along the picturesque seafront walkway towards Mumbles. The races take place on the second Tuesday of the month in May, June and July. The first race this year is on May 11th. We have a mixture of races for the under 12s starting at 6pm, and a 1 mile challenge for Under 15s that starts at 6:30pm just before the main race at 7pm.

Adults

Children

The 5K series attracts all sorts from first time racers to seasoned veterans. Everyone is made to feel welcome, so there is no excuse not to come and join us. If you're looking to get started then don't worry the course is flat and fast. Have a look at the basic training tips in our info section and don't forget to enjoy yourself. If you're a seasoned pro then you always have last year's time to beat (course record is by Simon Jones - 14min 40sec). If you beat the course record then you win £100!

Pre-register by 1st May to save yourself some money. And don't forget to stick around post-race as you can exchange your 5K race number for a drink and snack courtesy of the Junction Cafe Bar.

There is plenty for the Children to get involved with too!

Starting at 6pm are the children's fun runs, entry just £1! Nursery and reception years run approx. 75m, year 1 about 150m with the distances getting longer for each year up to year 6 who run about 400m. Everyone gets a goody bag including a free water pass to the LC!

There is the 1Mile challenge for the under 15s. Entry is £2 and the race starts at 6:30pm. The first 3 boys and girls win a boardrider pass for the LC as well as their goody bag.

Primary School Challenge

This year we will be giving away £250 to the primary school who gets the most children to enter that day's fun runs.
There will be 3 unique winners over the series and a bonus £250 for the school with the most entries overall.
Last year's winners were Oystermouth primary school.

A big thank you must go to St Johns Cymru. They are always there in case the worst happens, so spare them a thought - click here if you interested in raising money for a good cause!
