So you want to enter the Swansea Bay 5K series...

Three races are held each summer along the picturesque seafront walkway towards Mumbles. The races take place on the second Tuesday of the month in June and July and the first Tuesday in August. The first race this year is on June 9th. We have a mixture of races for the under 12s starting at 6pm, and a 1 mile challenge for Under 15s that starts at 6:30pm just before the main race at 7pm.

The 5K series attracts all sorts from first time racers to seasoned veterans. Everyone is made to feel welcome, so there is no excuse not to come and join us. If you're looking to get started then don't worry the course is flat and fast. Have a look at the basic training tips in our info section and don't forget to enjoy yourself. If you're a seasoned pro then you always have last year's time to beat (course record is by Simon Jones - 14min 40sec). If you beat the course record then you win £100!

Stick around post-race as you can exchange your 5K race number for a drink and snack courtesy of the Junction Cafe Bar.

Don't forget the Swansea Bay 10km in September 2009.
It's regularly voted as one of the best 10k races in the country!
