How wet was that? A massive pat on the back to all the kids, runners and supporters who turned out for a very soggy final 5K.
Congratulations to Dewi Griffiths and Alaw Beynon-Thomas who won the main race.
In the U12s fun runs we had over 500 participants with the most entries coming
from Parkland Primary who pick up £250. The most entries over the series came from Mayals Primary who pick up an additional £250.
A big thank you to all the children, teachers and parents who helped make the fun runs so successful this year.

So you want to enter the Swansea Bay 5K series...
Three races are held each summer along the picturesque seafront walkway towards Mumbles.
The races take place on the second Tuesday of the month in May, June and July. The first race this year is on May 11th.
We have a mixture of races for the under 12s starting at 6pm, and a 1 mile challenge for Under 15s that starts at 6:30pm just before the main race at 7pm.

The 5K series attracts all sorts from first time racers to seasoned veterans. Everyone is made to feel welcome, so there is no excuse not to come and join us. If you're looking to get started then don't worry the course is flat and fast. Have a look at the basic training tips in our info section and don't forget to enjoy yourself. If you're a seasoned pro then you always have last year's time to beat (course record is by Simon Jones - 14min 40sec). If you beat the course record then you win £100! Speaking of Simon Jones, his sponsor Saucony have kindly donated a pair of trainers for each of the series winners.
Follow his performance this season at Runners Life. Pre-register by 1st May to save yourself some money. And don't forget to stick around post-race as you can exchange your 5K race number for a drink and snack courtesy of the Junction Cafe Bar. |

Primary School Challenge
This year we will be giving away £250 to the primary school who gets the most children
to enter that day's fun runs.
There will be 3 unique winners over the series and a bonus £250 for the school with the most entries overall.
So far Mayals and Bishopston primary school have won May and June respectively.
